In the near distance at right, Wilfrid Cline, Jr. stands with a rifle in front of the camp tent and looks to the camera. In front of him, a piece of canvas lies on the ground. Pots and pans sit on the ground to his left. In the near distance at left, Al Schmitz stands in front of the camp stove with his back to the camera. He appears to look downward as he raises a foot off the ground. The camp stove sits on the ground to the right of him and to the left of the pots and pans. Low trees and brush line the back edge of the camp in the background. Text from negative sleeve: 1255. Taboose Creek, about 1917. We camped right beside the creek on the road, in a sort of grove of black acacia trees. The Party was Glen Velzy, Al Schmitz, Wilfrid Cline Jr & H.H.West. 1. 2. Our camp. Two views.
