Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph, from left to right, of Elmer Cole and Al Schmitz standing beside H. H. West's Cadillac that sits parked in their campsite near Taboose Creek. The Cadillac is parked in the near distance at left. It is viewed at an angle from the side and faces towards the right. Elmer Cole stands in front and to the left of the car at far left. He faces towards the right as he appears to fix his coat collar. Al Schmitz stands in front of the side of the car with his back turned to the camera. Fishing baskets and gear hang from the car and sit on the ground surrounding them. Near the lower right corner, the camp stove, cups and plates sit on the ground. Barren trees stand directly behind the camp. Tall grasses and brush lie beyond the trees and extend into the distance towards the mountains. Snow-covered mountains rise in the far distance and stretch across the background.
