Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of the front of the hut owned by Dr. F. S. Hardin and H. H. West sitting on Sunset Gun Club property. The small hut stands left-of-center and is viewed at an angle from the front. There is a door on the left side of the front of the building; a couple steps lead up to it. Boots sit on the ground next to the steps. A window is cut into the left side of the building. A pergola stands in front of the building at right and extends out of frame. Text from negative sleeve: 1270. Sunset Gun Club about 1915. 1. The old house used as a club house. 2. 3. Two views of the little one room house in rear of club house. This little house belonged to Dr. F. S. Hardin and H.H.West and is where they slept. This little house was first brot [sic] to the Cazadores Club by Fred Walton, an insurance agent, who wanted to be by himself, and to also put his wife, as she wanted to come down to the club with him. When Walton sold out on the Cazadore Hardin and West bot the thing for $ $100.00 and hauled it over to Sunset to use for sleeping quarters. 3 films.
