Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. An out-of-focus photograph of Glen Velzy standing in a pond and picking up a duck he shot while visiting the Sunset Gun Club. Glen Velzy wades in the pond, left-of-center. He bends over, facing towards the camera, to pick up a duck out of the water. Beneath his other arm, he carries his rifle. The pond stretches into the distance behind him. A dozen or so duck decoys float behind Glen. An embankment lines the opposite end of the pond in the background. Text from negative sleeve: 1277. Sunset Gun Club, October 31, 1917. I took Glen Velzy down as a guest. 1. Glen Velzy, sitting on dike. 2. Glen Velzy in blind taking shot at a duck. 3.
