Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Toms place is an unincorporated community in Mono County on Rock Creek, named after the resort "Tom's Place." Car and trailer parked in front of a café and store. Both car and trailer have California license plates. There is a truck parked in front of the store. The words, "Café, Tom's Place, store, groceries" are painted on the building. Two signs at the right read, "rest room." There are trees in the background, as well as utility poles and wires above. Text from negative sleeve: 1288. Rock Creek trip. Aug. 29-Sept. 7, 1940. 1. our car and trailer in front of Tom's Place. 2 Sign at Tom's Place on right hand side of road going in. 2 films.
