Description

West, Jr. stands at center and looks to the camera. The raft extends beneath him and back at an angle to the left. At the back end of the raft, Ambrose Cline stands and operates an oar. He stands in a wide stance behind and to the left of H. H., Jr. and faces to the right. The lagoon surrounds them as it extends into the distance. Other children on rafts float in the water at right.
