Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph, from left to right, of Ambrose Cline and H. H. West, Jr. wading in a lagoon at Topanga. The 2 boys stand left-of-center in thigh-high water. Ambrose Cline hangs his arms down to his sides and looks to the camera. H. H. West, Jr. faces slightly left while resting his hands on his hips and gazing slightly towards the left. To the right of them, a couple of parties try to stand on rafts. In the water behind the boys, another duo stands aboard a raft. The lagoon stretches into the distance. What appears to be a drilling rig stands on the shoreline in the distance at right. At the opposite end of the lagoon, cars are parked up along a roadside the stretches across the base of a mountainside in the background. Text from negative sleeve: 1301. Topango [sic] about 1922. 1.
