Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Guy M. West was H. H. West's brother. Frank Siefert, Guy West, and E. C. "Dick" Taylor stand in front of the West's beach cottage holding guns. Taylor's back is to the camera and he wears a vest. There is another house visible in the background, as well as utility poles. They stand on wooden walkways. Text from negative sleeve: 1308. Venice, Calif. About 1903. 1. H. H. West on the Venice pier with a few fish. 2. E. C. (Dick) Taylor, with gun and ducks standing at our rear porch door, Island Ave and Speedway. 3. L to R: Frank Siefert. Guy M West. Dick Taylor. We went over across the P. E. tracks onto the flats and lagoons and got quite a few ducks. There were some duck clubs over that way. Charles Stavnow's cottage on Island Avenue can be seen behind the boys. 3 films.
