Elizabeth West and Wilfrid Cline Jr. play in the sand. They both hold spoons. Elizabeth wears a straw hat. Wilfrid wears a knit hat. A bench is visible in the background, as are utility poles, wires, and mountains.
Elizabeth West (Elizabeth West Siemsen) was H. H. West's daughter. Wilfrid Cline Jr. was Elizabeth's cousin, and the son of Harriet Cline, who was H. H. West's first wife's sister.
Based on the age of Elizabeth West in this image, the date has been estimated as about 1903, rather than about 1905.
