Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Mary A. West (Mary Adelbert Teel West Shepard) was H. H. West's first wife and the mother of Elizabeth and Frances. Guy M. West was H. H. West's brother and Maude Hamilton went on to become Guy's wife. Elizabeth and Frances West on a blanket while Mary West leans her chin on Maude Hamilton's shoulder and Guy West sits beside them. Guy holds a wooden stake and has his other hand in his pocket. There is a pillow behind Elizabeth and Frances. There is a cottage in the background, as well as utility poles and wires and a horse-drawn carriage.
