West, Jr. and Eleanor Shaw stand on a pool's deck and look at something out-of-frame while attending a Masonic Picnic at the Verdugo Estates. Both H. H. West, Jr. and Eleanor Shaw wear bathing suits and face slightly left as they look towards something out-of-frame near the upper left corner. Behind them, the pool juts into the image from the left. An edge of the pool stretches behind and between H. H., Jr. and Eleanor. A person in the pool holds onto the ledge behind H. H., Jr.'s hand. Behind and to the right of Eleanor, a metal rail enters the image. Beyond it, someone sits beneath an umbrella. A metal rail stretches across the background, surrounding the pool deck. A few swimmers are gathered near the rail at center. Beyond the pool, a house stands at left and beyond it, a valley sprawls towards mountains that stand in the far distance. Text from negative sleeve: 1333. Verdugo Estates about 1930. We went to a Masonic picnic to the Verdugo Estates. There was a swimming pool there and we have: 1.
