In the foreground at center, a soldier stands with his back to the camera. To the left of him, a large camp stove sits on the ground. Behind the stove, a cook stands leftmost and faces right. To the right of him, a soldier stands, facing right. Behind them, a soldier sits in to front of a tent, which extends out-of-frame at left. In the distance at right, a couple of men walk through the camp. Tents stand in a row behind them. Text from negative sleeve: 1632. Los Angeles Parks. Agricultural Park. 1900. 1. 2. When the boys commenced to come home from Manila and other points in the Spanish American war there was a great big camp set up in Agricultural Park, and we went down to visit the place one Sunday. No one there we knew, at least in this picture. 2 films
