Military troops walking by Southern Pacific Railroad's River Station. Soldiers at the left wears backpacks and hold guns. There are flags flying on the station at the left. A man at the right faces the camera wearing boots and a brimmed hat.
Text from negative sleeve: 1701. Los Angeles, California. River Station, on San Fernando Road, The S. P. R. R. depot. 1898. The Seventh Regiment is getting ready to entrain for San Francisco, and they are feeding the soldiers under the gallery, partly hidden by palm leaves. 1. The soldiers marching in, watched by the spectators on the balcony of the old depot. 2. Watching the soldiers eat. Old depot balcony above. 3. Close up of soldiers carrying flag. Too close to be good, but the spectators on the old River Station depot balcony show up good. 3 films.
