Sadie Russell stands in profile at center and is viewed from the waist up. Facing left, she looks down while she holds Millard in front of her. She holds Millard so that he faces towards the camera. Millard turns his head towards the camera with a tired look on his face. The side of the house stretches behind them at right and extends towards the left. A window sits along the right edge of the image. Neighboring lawns are visible in the background at left, just past the porch rail. Text from negative sleeve: 1704. Los Angeles, California. Russel's [sic] family. Sadie Sweazey [sic] lived on Main Street between Workman and Sichel. Married Will Russel [sic] whose folks had a grocery store at corner of Workman or Sichel and Main street - then known as Kuhrts street.
