Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. An out-of-focus photograph of Grace Boal posing while standing next to the Lacy residence on West Ninth Street. Grace Boal stands, right-of-center, and looks to the camera. She holds her hands behind her back and wears a striped bow tie at her collar. To the left of her, a house, viewed close-up, stands in partial view along the left edge of the frame. The corner of the house stands behind and just to the left of Grace. A bay window (partial view) juts out from the side of the house and towards the left edge. Shrubbery stands immediately behind Grace at right. Further in the distance, another structure stands at right. Text from negative sleeve: 1737. Los Angeles, California, about 1900. West Ninth street; Lacys's home. 1.
