Josie, William, and Lester Shaw stand in their front yard with Abraham and Mary Whitaker. Mr. Shaw and Mr. Whitaker wear hats. Lester holds a flower. There are trees and a house in the background.
Based on the age of Lester Shaw in this image, the date has been estimated as about 1896, rather than about 1898.
Abraham and Mary Whitaker were the parents of Josie Shaw and Mertie Whitaker, who became H. H. West's second wife in the 1920's. William Shaw was Josie's husband, and Lester Shaw was their son.
