Guy West stands in front of the West's partially constructed house. He wears a hat and bow tie. He has a thumb hooked into his pocket. There are piles of wood and other debris on the ground around him. The window of the house behind seems to be covered with paper.
Text from negative sleeve: 1751. Los Angeles, Calif. 1896. 240 South Griffin Ave. 1. Father is building a home for me. It is under construction. Arleigh Lemberger comes down to look at it one Sunday as I was there with my camera. Taken from the south east corner. Arleigh Lemberger on the roof. 2. Guy M. West, on south side of house, while under construction. 2 film.
