Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. H. H. West's brother, Wilson, sits on a curb with a dog. He wears a hat and suit. He has his hand on the dog's back. There are trees behind him, and across the street there are fences and houses. H. H. West's shadow is visible in the foreground. Text from negative sleeve: 1763. Los Angeles, Calif. East Los Angeles, some where. [Handwritten:] 1898. 1. Wilson D. West and a dog. Cannot identify the place this was taken. I made a print of it and sent Wilson and he could not tell where it was, but it was close to our house, and probably over on Hancock street, where the curb was lined with umbrella trees. There is an old fashioned board fence across the street. 1 film.
