Louise Ambrose stands on the West's front lawn. She wears a large hat with feathers on it and she holds a handkerchief in her gloves hands. There are neighboring houses visible down the block, along with trees and other plants.
Text from negative sleeve: 1767. Los Angeles, California. 240 South Griffin Ave., about 1899. 1. Left to right: On our front porch. Mrs George M. West. Vicente Sepulveda. Do not think Vicente's last name was Sepulveda. She was their hired girl, and looked like she had Indian blood. She was a good cook, and used to come over and get us up a real Spanish dinner. Bring tears to our eyes. 2. Arleigh Lemberger, our cousin - son of mother's brother Frank Lemberger. On our front lawn. Wilson West is sitting on post at right. 3. Louise Ambrose on our front lawn. Looking north up Griffin Ave. 3 films.
