H. H. West's brother, Wayne, holds a stick and makes the neighbor's dog jump in the air. Wayne wears a hat. There are trees in the background, as well as a fence and a utility pole.
Text from negative sleeve: 1791. Los Angeles, California. 240 South Griffin Ave. about 1900. 1. Wayne W. West getting Daughterty's dog to jump. On our lawn, looking over south west toward the Sisters' School. 2. Charles Rucher out on the lawn, Wilson D. West at extreme right. Looking north up Griffin Avenue. 3. Wilson D. West down on lawn, with Daugherty's dog; Wayne W. West at right. Looking across the street to where the present Whitaker home is now standing.
