Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. H. H. West's daughters, Elizabeth and Frances, stand on either side of their mother's uncle, Mr. Teel. Mr. Teel holds the hands of both the girls. Frances looks at the camera, while Elizabeth looks at her hand, which is held up to her face. Mr. Teel wears a vest and has a moustache. There is a tree behind them, and the West's house is behind that. There is another house visible at the right. Text from negative sleeve: 1867. Los Angeles, California. 165 South Harvard Blvd. About 1915. An Uncle of Mrs Mary A. West, last name Teel, who lived in Garberville, Calif. came to Los Angeles and visited us. 1. In the rear yard, with the fig tree at the left, they stand, left to right: Frances West. Mr Teel. Elizabeth West. 2. In the front yard, in front of the fir tree, left to right: Frances West.
