There are trees and plants in front of the house. Text from negative sleeve: 1871. Los Angeles, California. 165 South Harvard Blvd. About 1916. 1. I got a Mitchell ["Chandler" crossed out] car from Bill Ruess. It was no good. I sold it to a Doctor and he afterward told me it was the best car he ever had. When I had it, it was over to Bill Ruess's garage being fixed half the time. Bill had to do it for nothing. His troubles with Mitchell cars going bad finally threw him into bankruptcy. Here is the Mitchell I had, with Mrs Mary A. West in it, in front of our home. 1 film.
