Opening Ceremony of the 1932 Summer Olympic Games. Athletes walk into the stadium, some wearing suits. In the foreground, there is the edge of a parasol. Spectators wearing hats are also in the foreground, and a huge number of spectators fill the stadium in the distance.
The Summer Olympic Games took place in Los Angeles in 1932, not 1934 as the negative sleeve states.
Text from negative sleeve: 1940. Los Angeles, California. The Olympic Games, 1934 [sic]. 1. The participants are coming in through the tunnel on the Vermont Avenue side. 2. Athletes still coming in and forming in the center. 3. The last of the participants passing in front of us to form in the center. 4. Forming in the center; some are still out on the track at right. 5. The center about filled up. 6. Administering the oath to the Athletes. 6 large films.
