Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Swimming pool and spectators at the Los Angeles Swimming Stadium. There is a multi-level diving platform at the end of the pool. There are flags posted at the edge of the stadium. There are trees and buildings beyond. Some people stand by the edge of the pool, though there are no swimmers in it. In the foreground, there are people wearing hats. The Summer Olympic Games took place in Los Angeles in 1932, not 1934 as the negative sleeve states. The Los Angeles Swimming Stadium was later renamed the John C. Argue Swim Stadium. Text from negative sleeve: 1941. Los Angeles, California. The Olympic Games, 1934 [sic]. 1. 2.
