Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Spectators watch the preparations for a track event at the Olympic Games. There are people on the field near the track. There are spectators scattered throughout the stands, including a man in a hat who is in the foreground of the photograph. The Summer Olympic Games took place in Los Angeles in 1932, not 1934 as the negative sleeve states. Text from negative sleeve: 1941. Los Angeles, California. The Olympic Games, 1934 [sic]. 1. 2. Looking down on the track over the heads of the spectators. A foot race. 2 small films. 3. A foot race is starting, or rather the runners are jumping a hurdle. 4.
