The Evergreen Cemetery was established in 1877 and is located in the Boyle Heights neighborhood at 204 N. Evergreen Avenue.
Gravestone of H. H. West's cousin, William P. Mead. The engraving reads, "Husband. William P. Mead. May 1, 1871 June 11, 1906." There are other gravestones at the right and in the background. Trees are in the background, as is a house.
Text from negative sleeve: 1956. Los Angeles, California. Evergreen Cemetery. May 14, 1939. 1. The monument at head of the graves of Daniel Mead and his wife. 2. 3. Two pictures of the monument at head of grave of William P. Mead. Heading reads: "Husband." Grave is under the trees and so shady could not get a good picture without making an exposure. 3 films.
