Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of an unknown boy crouching down by the side of Lincoln Park Lake in Lincoln Park and feeding a swan. A boy crouches down alongside the bank of Lincoln Park Lake in the foreground at left. His back is to the camera as he faces the lake to the right. He holds his hands over the water where a swan (presumably) feeds. The lower right corner is obscured by a large white streak that stretches towards the left. Beyond the streak of white, 3 ducks swim in the lake. The lake spans across the mid-ground and extends into the distance at right. On a nearby bank at center, a mission-style building stands. To the right of it, row boats sit docked in the water. Beyond the lake, the park stretches into the background at right. Text from negative sleeve: 1982. Los Angeles, California. Lincoln Park, February 1943. 1. A boy feeding a swan, with a lot of hungry ducks swimming around. View across the lake. Not a very good film. 1 film.
