Prior sits in a wooden desk chair in the foreground at center. He sits in profile, facing left, and leans back in his chair slightly. His hands are clasped in front of him as he looks to the left. His desk stands behind him. Family pictures and an inkwell sit on the left side of the desk. Directly behind him, a calendar is attached to the cabinet and a lamp hangs down. A narrow gash arcs through the image on an upward angle from the mid-left edge and towards the right side of the upper edge. Text from negative sleeve: 1984. Los Angeles, California. Arcade depot, about 1900. 1. Glass positive [handwritten:] ^ and negative - [end handwritten] of Frank E. Prior taken at his desk in his office. Dont [sic] know where this came from or anything about it. Found in my suit case of negatives.
