Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Panoramic photograph of the Alaskan terrain from somewhere behind Fort Mears in Dutch Harbor. A wide patch of dirt extends across the bottom edge of the image in the foreground. Beyond it, a valley stretches from the center of the image and into the distance. Hillsides covered in patches of snow rise from either side of the valley towards the left and right edges of the image. Beyond the valley, snow-covered mountains stand in the distance at center. The corresponding negative (Item Ark: 21198/zz002j28jr) of this photographic print is flipped and scanned as a mirror image along the side edge. Text from negative sleeve: 2018.
