Photograph, from left to right, of David Sparks, Herman Schultz and John Lynch posing outside the barracks at Camp Murray in Washington. A gravel and dirt drive stretches through the image on an upward angle from the lower left corner and up to the right. The trio stands in a row at center on the far side of the walkway. David Sparks stands leftmost and gazes up and to the right. Herman Schultz stands in the middle and looks directly to camera. John Lynch faces slightly left, but looks to the camera. A canvas and wood slat constructed barracks stands behind them, extending out-of-frame at left. Canvas hangs down slightly over the open doorway to the immediate left of David. Inside, the end of bed is visible. A second, identical barracks stands back and to the right of the group.
