Photograph, from left to right, of H. H. West and Mertie West standing and posing on the front lawn of their home on Griffin Avenue. H. H. and Mertie West stand side-by-side at center; both look to the camera. Their lawn surrounds them. Behind them, a concrete walkway cuts through the yard on an upward angle from right to left as it leads to the front of their home at far left. The West's residence stands in partial view about halfway up the image and along the left edge. The arched front porch peeks out from the left frame. Behind the West's and to the right of their home stands their neighbor's house. Houses stand in a line beyond the neighbor's house and recede into the distance towards the right. A large palm tree stands in partial view near the upper right corner.
