Shaw standing on the sidewalk in front of Asbury Methodist Church on Workman Street on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. They stand next to each other and both look to the left. Josie stands at left and William stands at center, holding gift boxes. Behind them, the sidewalk in front of the church extends back from the lower left corner and towards the right, perpendicular to the walkway that the Shaws stand upon. At left, Workman Street stretches alongside the sidewalk. Houses line Workman Street in the background. Text from negative sleeve: 2091. Asbury Methodist Church, Workman St., Los Angeles, Calif. Sunday, February 27, 1944. Mr and Mrs William Henry Shaw and the presents tyey [sic] had just received in the Church Parlors on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Feb.28, 1894.
