Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph, from left to right, of Wayne West and Forrest Whitaker standing in a boat with their fishing gear at Uncle Tom's landing on Big Bear Lake. In the foreground, a boat enters frame at right and stretches along the bottom edge with its bow to the right. Beyond it, a short dock extends to the right and perpendicularly from a larger pier that stretches along the left frame. Fishing gear sits atop the dock. Wayne West and Forrest Whitaker stand in a small boat behind the dock in the near distance at center. Wayne West stands leftmost and nearer to camera. He faces slightly right and looks down at the reel of the fishing rod he holds. To the right of him, Forrest Whitaker stands slightly further back. He faces left and looks down while carrying 2 fishing rods. Their small motorized boat sits beneath them, moored to the dock. Several boats sit moored to the larger pier behind them in a line. They float in the water with their bows facing towards the left. Big Bear Lake stretches into the background behind Wayne and Forrest. Low mountains rise in the far distance.
