She places her hands in her coat pockets as she looks to the camera. To the right of her and down a small slope stands a sign for Igloo Creek. It is surrounded by tall grasses that grow across the width of the image. Beyond the sign, a few wood posts stand in a row. Behind the posts, Igloo Creek flows in the near distance. A curve in the creek juts out towards the left, behind and to the right of Mertie. The creek flows both into and out of the image at right.
