Photograph of Frances Wells and other passengers looking over the rail of their ship as it approaches Orca. Frances Wells stands, right-of-center, in the foreground with her back square to camera as she stands along a rail lining the side of a ship. She looks towards the distance. To the left of her, 2 older boys also stand at the rail with their backs to the camera. A woman, obscured by a rail, sits on the deck to the right of Frances. She too faces towards the distance. The rail lining the side of the ship stretches on an upward angle from left to right. A waterway stretches across the image beyond the ship. In the distance, buildings dot the shoreline at center and right. A tree-covered mountainside rises up from behind the settlement.
