Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of the [Aleutian], as viewed from midships towards the bow, sailing through the Inside Passage. The middle of the ship stretches across the foreground. The front of the ship extends into the distance with the bow terminating right-of-center. Passengers and cars being transported on the ship are clustered on the top deck. A few passengers sit and stand atop a cabin along the bottom edge at right. One of these passengers looks to the camera. Beyond them, cranes and rigging sit along the center line of the ship. Vehicles are parked to either side of the rigging. A dozen or so passengers stand on the deck at left, near the rails. Ahead of the ship, the Inside Passage stretches into the distance. Silhouetted mountains line the waterway in the background. The bow of our boat. 2 and 3 [scratched out:] being printed [end scratched out] [handwritten:] INSIDE PASSAGE [end handwritten]
