Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. According to the negative sleeve, this set of photographs is captured in color. The scans of these images are in black and white. A poorly lit and scratchy photograph of a Native Alaskan woman displaying souvenirs on the dock at Chatham (Sitka), Alaska. The Native Alaskan woman stands towards the back of the image at center. Her head extends beyond the top frame and she faces towards the camera. Souvenirs lie on the ground in front of her. Two female ship passengers peruse the souvenirs. A woman stands at far left, in front of the souvenirs, and with her back to the camera. Her upper body extends beyond the top frame. Another woman at right hunches over the wares for sale. The side of a building lines the background. Streaks of white slice down through the image from the top edge. Four punch holes line the bottom edge. Text from negative sleeve: 2212. Alaska Trip.
