An out-of-focus photograph of Mertie West standing beside a flower garden across the street from the Kinsell's residence in Anchorage. The flower garden enters frame at the lower left corner and stretches back on an upward angle towards the right. A drive lines the right side of the garden. Mertie West stands in the near distance, right-of-center, along the left side of the driveway. She faces left as she reaches out towards a flower in the garden. The driveway's gate stands behind and to the right of Mertie. A street appears to line the back edge of the garden. At left, a clump of trees sit on the backside of the garden. On the far side of the street, a house stands at center. Another house stands in the distance at left, obscured by the trees. A few punch holes line the bottom edge.
