Photograph of the neighborhood situated below the bluff near Frances Wells' apartment in Anchorage. Tall grasses and vegetation stretch through the foreground on an angle back from right to left. Beyond the grasses, 2 children stand in the near distance at center. To the right of them, a large dog sits atop a small mound and looks towards the camera. A small wading pool is barely visible behind and to the right of the dog. In the distance at right, a 2-story home stands. It is viewed at an angle from the front and the side; it faces right. A ladder is propped up against the far right side of the home's front. A couple of sheds or garages stand to the right of the house and behind it. Neighboring houses stand at left, obscured by vegetation. Several punched holes line both the top and bottom edges. Text from negative sleeve: 2221. Color. Alaska Trip. Anchorage Aug.10, 1946. 1.
