Photograph of Mertie West picking berries at Simeon Oliver's place in Anchorage. The bottom third of the image is in shadow and a white-ish blur stretches along the right edge. Mertie West stands in the near distance at center. She appears to walk towards the camera and looks down. Mertie carries a small bowl in front of her as she picks berries. Berry bushes stand to either side of her. Behind her, a tree stands. A streak of white winds in front of Mertie's feet. Several punched holes line the right edge. Text from negative sleeve: 2230.
