The edge of a park stretches past the lower right corner in the foreground. Cars are parked on an angle along the park's edge; all face towards the right. Behind them, buildings line the opposite side of the street, extending on an angle back towards the right. From left to right, signage identifying the stores and businesses read: "SUPPLY STORE," "Roxall DRUGS ROXALL ARTZ DRUG CO. ROXALL," "MILLEDGE HARDWARE," "GREEN PARROT," "BEARDSLEY & WOLFE DRUGS SHERWIN-WILLIAMS PAINTS DRUGS," and "SPURGEON'S." Text from negative sleeve: 2235. Red Oak, Iowa, Nov.22, 1946 1.
