Photograph of the old Clapp residence, as viewed at a distance from the opposite side of the intersection of Grimes and 4th streets. Sidewalks crisscross on a street corner in the foreground, left-of-center. A post at the corner identifies the cross streets. Beyond it, 4th Street stretches through the image on an upward angle from left to right. Grimes Street extends back from the intersection and out-of-frame at left. On the northwest corner, the former Clapp residence stands in the distance at center. It is viewed at an angle from the front and the side, facing left, towards Grimes Street. A neighbor's house stands beside it at left and a shed stands behind it at right. Text from negative sleeve: 2239.
