Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. A poorly lit and out-of-focus photograph of Mertie West posing beside her tour bus while visiting Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park. Mertie West stands in the near distance at center. A blanket is draped around her as she looks to the camera. To the left of her and obscured by shadow is the tour bus. It enters frame at left and stretches back. It is viewed from the side and faces the back of the image. Another sightseer appears to step off of the bus behind and to the left of Mertie. In the distance, what looks to be water sits beyond the parking lot, right-of-center. Four punched holes line the upper right edge. According to the negative sleeve, this set of photographs is captured in color. The scans of these images are in black and white. Text from negative sleeve: 2284. Color. Banff trip June 1947.
