In the foreground at left, a hut stands in partial view. It is viewed from the side and extends out-of-frame at left. Two men sit on the ground beneath the shadow cast by the hut. A railroad employee stands in front of them at left. He too is enveloped in the shadow of the hut. At center, 2 men sit on old equipment that lies on the ground. A third man behind them lounges on the equipment. Tall grasses stretch to the right of them and behind them. Houses line a street in the distance and mountains rise in the far distance. Four punched holes line the bottom edge at right. According to the negative sleeve, this set of photographs is captured in color. The scans of these images are in black and white.
