Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. According to the negative sleeve, this set of photographs is captured in color. The scans of these images are in black and white. Photograph of the backside of the Chateau Lake Louise hotel, as viewed from the south. The landscaped grounds of the hotel stretch across the foreground and are dotted by 4 tall pines. Chateau Lake Louise stands in the near distance. It is viewed at an angle from the backside. The central portion of the building stands 8-stories tall at center and is flanked by 2 hexagon-shaped towers. A short wing extends off of the right side, towards the camera. A longer wing extends from the left side of the building and out-of-frame at left. Four punched holes line the bottom edge at right. Text from negative sleeve: 2288. Color Banff trip June 1947.
