Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. According to the negative sleeve, this set of photographs is captured in color. The scans of these images are in black and white. Photograph of Mertie West and 2 girls from Toronto posing in front of the Bow Falls in Banff and Banff National Park. The 3 women stand in the near distance at center and all look to the camera. Mertie West stands leftmost of the trio. They stand on the bank of the Bow River. The bank extends back to the left and then arcs back slightly towards center. Several other visitors to the falls mill about on the bank behind and to the left of the women. The Bow River flows to the right of the women and towards the camera. Behind and to the right of the women, Bow Falls cascades. Pine tree-covered hills rise up from either side of the falls. Four punched holes line the bottom edge at right.
