Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of a goat resting on the roof of a stone hut contained within a fenced enclosure, as viewed en route from Banff to Johnston Canyon. Wire fencing spans the entirety of the image in the foreground. A wooden fence post stands along the left edge. Behind the fencing and contained within it, a hut constructed of piled stone and logs stands in the near distance at center. It has a steep, pitched roof. The hut is viewed from the side and faces left. A flat roof extends over the entrance on the front of the structure. Atop this roof, a goat lies, facing the camera. The hut is surrounded by tall grasses that stretch into the distance. Trees line the back edge of the fenced enclosures. Mountains rise in the far distance. Text from negative sleeve: 2291.
