Photograph of elk standing by a roadside, as viewed at a distance on the drive between Banff and Johnston Canyon. Tall pines and a few saplings dot the foreground. Between a gap in the trees at center, elk are visible standing along a distant roadside. The roadside passes behind the elk and across the image. Pines line the far side of the road and snow-covered mountains are visible rising in the background at center.
