Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of a wood-carved marker standing at an intersection in Field, British Columbia. The marker stands in the near distance, left-of-center. It is surrounded by a circle of rocks. The marker appears to be carved out of wood. A post rises through the center of the marker. It has a bulbous base. At the top, small beams jut outward from the post. Signs hang down beneath the beams. The signs read, "FIELD [left pointing arrow]," "BUSINESS SECTION," "EMERALD LAKE 7," and "GOLDEN 37." Behind it, a dirt road passes across the image. A cluster of pines stands on the far side of the road at center and right. In the distance at left, Kicking Horse River is barely visible. Text from negative sleeve: 2306. Banff trip 1947.
