Photograph of Mertie West posing in front of the Chateau Lake Louise hotel in Banff National Park. A walkway enters frame from the bottom edge at center and extends back. Flowers line the left side of the walk in the foreground. Mertie West stands on the walkway, in the near distance, at center. She holds a coat as she looks to the camera. Another walkway, to the right of Mertie, merges with the one at center. Behind Mertie, the walkway curves to the right and out-of-frame. Landscaped grounds surround it. Chateau Lake Louise stands across the background; it enters frame at left and stands 10-stories tall. An arcade lines the ground floor and a hexagon-shaped tower juts forward on the right side of the building. Five punched holes line the right edge. Text from negative sleeve: Color 2319.
